For the first time since 2025, Chase Shakur returns with his new single “highly favoured,” blending house R&B and neo-soul to create a captivating melody carried by his airy vocals. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Shakur emerged from the underground rap scene and has since become known for his melodic R&B sound and heartfelt, intentional production style.
Driven by atmospheric R&B production, the track moves between thoughtful instrumentation, electronic synths, and emotionally resonant lyrics to create an authentic, soulful sound. With lyrics like “if you fall, I would catch you” layered over soulful synths and a smooth melody, Shakur embraces vulnerability throughout the song. “Highly favoured” becomes a tender expression of devotion, capturing the depth of care and commitment that define its emotional core.
