A Sharp New Chapter

“Switchblade” leans into tension, uncertainty, and emotional self-protection. The song pulls from its central metaphor while asking whether self-defense is bravery, whether to start the fight, or whether to take flight. Rather than offering a clean answer, the single sits inside the confusion, which is exactly where this new album appears to live.

Pylon is described as beabadoobee’s most wide-ranging and complex work yet, a rock record filled with anger, loneliness, ecstasy, sadness, romance, and uncertainty. That emotional range gives the project a rawer edge while continuing the intimate songwriting that has helped define her catalog.

Pylon Arrives This September

The album follows her UK number one album This Is How Tomorrow Moves and is available to pre-order and pre-save now. “Switchblade” follows “Sun Has Set,” the album’s first single, which arrived last month with a first-person video directed by Bea’s partner and longtime visual collaborator Jake Erland.

Pylon is due September 18, 2026 via Dirty Hit and Interscope Records.

Pylon is about accepting that negative feelings are going to come back, accepting the insecurity and feeling confused. It’s all a necessary part of growing and knowing yourself better.

The Powerlines Tour

beabadoobee will bring songs from Pylon to the stage on The Powerlines Tour, her first arena run and biggest tour to date. The Live Nation promoted tour kicks off October 1 and includes major stops across North America, the UK, and Europe, including Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, The O2 Arena, Scotiabank Arena, and more.

The North American leg includes stops in New York, Toronto, Columbia, Raleigh, Orlando, Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland, Vancouver, Seattle, and more, with Wisp supporting select dates. The UK and European run follows in November and December, with Violet Grohl supporting select shows.
