Nine-time GRAMMY Award winner Anderson .Paak is taking his creative vision to new heights with the release of K-POPS! (Music from and inspired by K-POPS! Motion Picture), an ambitious 17-track project that serves as both the soundtrack to his directorial debut and a standalone musical event.

Far more than a traditional soundtrack, K-POPS! brings together an unprecedented lineup of K-pop stars, South Korean artists, and international performers from across genres and labels. The result is a cohesive project that celebrates cultural exchange through music while showcasing .Paak's signature blend of soul, funk, hip-hop, and R&B.

Executive produced by Dem Jointz and overseen creatively by Anderson .Paak himself, the album features contributions from an impressive roster that includes G-DRAGON, aespa, NMIXX, DEAN, JID, JO1, CHUNG HA, Alissia, Kevin Woo, JOSHUA of SEVENTEEN, HONGJOONG of ATEEZ, SOYEON of i-dle, and many more. The project also marks the musical debut of .Paak's son, Soul Rasheed.

“Caution” Highlights the Album's Creative Vision

One of the standout tracks from the album is “Caution,” a collaboration between Anderson .Paak and NMIXX. The record fuses pop, hip-hop, and R&B influences through heavy bass lines, experimental percussion, and infectious melodies.

The accompanying music video takes an equally creative approach, placing .Paak and NMIXX in the roles of stylish crime scene investigators as they navigate a mysterious case filled with suspicious clues and unexpected twists.

Building Momentum Before Release

Fans were given an early taste of the project through several advance releases. In February, .Paak teamed with global girl group aespa for the upbeat single “Keychain.” He later followed with “Aftertaste,” featuring acclaimed Seoul-based alt-R&B artist DEAN.

The album also includes a special version of “Too Bad,” Anderson .Paak's collaboration with G-DRAGON that previously reached No. 30 on Billboard's Global 200 chart and earned recognition at the MAMA Awards.

The Film Behind the Music

The album accompanies K-POPS!, Anderson .Paak's directorial debut film, which arrives on Netflix on May 30. Set against the backdrop of a fictional K-pop competition show in Seoul, the story explores family, cultural identity, and generational connection through music.

.Paak not only directed and wrote the film but also stars alongside his real-life son, Soul Rasheed. Early reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with the film earning Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes and praise from major outlets including Forbes, Variety, Billboard, and the Los Angeles Times.

Anderson .Paak's Remarkable 2026 Continues

The release adds another milestone to an already extraordinary year for .Paak. He recently celebrated his 40th birthday, earned his 15th GRAMMY nomination, appeared at the Met Gala, and was named to TIME's list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2026.

He's also remained musically active through collaborations with artists including CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso and NCT's TAEYONG while simultaneously touring alongside Bruno Mars as DJ Pee .Wee on The Romantic Tour.

With K-POPS!, Anderson .Paak continues proving why he's one of the most versatile artists in modern music, creating a project that feels equally at home in the worlds of K-pop, hip-hop, R&B, and film.
