A Feel-Good Song About Knowing Your Worth

Baylee describes “Lucky To Be Loved” as a song about knowing your worth, owning who you are, and remembering what you bring to a relationship. Built on strutting riffs and stomping rhythms, the track captures the confidence of someone who understands that sweetness and swagger can live in the same place.

“It’s all about knowing your worth, owning who you are, and remembering what you bring to a relationship.”

The single was produced by her frequent collaborator AJ Pruis, whose credits include work with Megan Moroney, Maddie & Tae, and more. Baylee co-wrote the track with AJ Pruis, Emily Falvey, and Dallas Wilson, shaping a song that keeps its warmth intact while leaning into a bold statement of self-assurance.

A Clever Video With a Twist

The official music video for “Lucky To Be Loved” was directed and produced by Kate Bowling and co-stars Baylee’s dog, Flossie. The visual follows Baylee through simple moments at home, from chores to baking cupcakes, before revealing that the affection in the video is really being showered on Flossie.

Continuing the Heart On My Sleeve Era

“Lucky To Be Loved” marks Baylee’s first new music since her soul-baring debut EP Heart On My Sleeve arrived in March, followed by Heart On My Sleeve (Expanded Edition) in May. The Tennessee-bred singer-songwriter was also featured in Country Now’s “Country Next” series, highlighting her as one of country music’s rising new voices.

Baylee recently performed “Lucky To Be Loved” live for the first time at Greene County Fair in her hometown. Back in Nashville, she is set to perform at Losers Live on August 10 before hosting two Grindhouse Nashville writers’ rounds at Live Oak on August 13 and September 24.
