Where's Drake?

It has been almost two weeks and there haven’t been any bars released from the OVO camp. There has been a lot of clean up regarding the photo of Mr. Graham grinning from ear to ear in blackface but yet no bars. The people have been waiting for a week for Drake to come back viciously over a beat produced by Forty that will not only murder Pusha T but that will remind the people that he is one of the best and shouldn’t be trifled with.
Last week J. Prince, who low key terrifies me, has been on a radio press tour to promote his book, The Art & Science of Respect. During his interview with Sway, he says that he called Drake and told him to not release what is rumored to be a career-ending diss track that could possibly redeem him from the slaughter that is titled the Life of Adidon. Mr. Prince also was recorded saying that Drake stooping down to the level of Pusha is like being a pig in a pigpen & pigs get slaughtered. I’m not sure if that was a jab or promise. If you don’t know who J. Prince is I will strongly advise you to do your Googles.
This weeks-long silence has me pondering on the idea if Drake even really needs to reply to Pusha? Typically in beefs, the response time is quick, three to five days tops. I’m not sure if that is because of our short attention span due to us getting information binged to our phone every thirty seconds or because we, who are not in the rap game, feel as though you can record a diss track in thirty minutes. Either way, the people are eagerly waiting for some homicidal bars from the OVO leader.
In my humble opinion, Drake is not keeping the same energy as he has with others, like with Meek. Although this situation is very different & really shouldn't be compared to one another. Pusha went for the jugular and it was equivalent to The Red Wedding. Whereas Meek just revealed that Drake wasn't writing his raps & allegedly got pissed on. Pusha, on the other hand, came for Adidon, Sandy & Dennis and not to forget the disrespectful lines directed to Forty.
Before the receipts surfaced and Drake’s PR team went around deleting the image of Drake in blackface from the internet, I had Drake winning this battle even after Pusha dropped his track. I still knew that Drake would be victorious after Kanye’s slight left jab on No Mistakes, but as the days go on I’m left asking Where’s Drake?
Will Drake disobey his word to one of the scariest men alive and drop the diss track or will he leave it alone and lose respect from the streets? I guess we will find out.
PEACE & BLESSING
