Rising country artist Brandon Wisham is continuing to build momentum in 2026 with the release of his deeply personal new single, “Other Side of Lonely.” Released through The Core Records and Capitol Records, the track finds the 23-year-old South Carolina native confronting themes of isolation, grief, and resilience with an honesty that is becoming his trademark.
The release arrives alongside an official music video and follows a string of career milestones for Wisham, including being named one of Pandora's Country Artists to Watch for 2026 and earning recognition as a SiriusXM The Highway "Highway Find."
A Song Born From Personal Struggle
“Other Side of Lonely” is one of Wisham’s most vulnerable releases to date. Co-written alongside Alex Schwoebel, Conner Moye, Rob Grimaldi, Justin Kirk, and Oliver Rio, the song draws directly from the hardships that have shaped his life.
Wisham has been open about facing family struggles, health challenges, periods of homelessness, and the devastating loss of his father to COVID-19. Those experiences form the emotional foundation of the new track, which explores what it takes to overcome loneliness and find hope on the other side.
According to Wisham, the songwriting session felt unusually personal from the start.
“I wrote this song about the journey it took to get to the other side from my world of hell. It wasn’t the easiest battle, but now I can show people that no matter how young you are, or how lost you may seem, there’s always a way out.”
A Powerful Addition to a Growing Catalog
Produced by Matt Geroux, “Other Side of Lonely” blends acoustic guitar, piano, atmospheric textures, and emotionally charged vocals into a moving country ballad. The song follows recent releases including “Tears In Her Tequila,” which earned praise from country music outlets for its thoughtful songwriting and willingness to push beyond traditional genre boundaries.
The new single also continues the emotional storytelling showcased on earlier tracks like “Good Grief,” a song inspired by the loss of his father, as well as fan favorites including “Back Together,” “Better Than The Day,” “Whiskey’s Whisperin’,” “Growin’ Up,” and “She’s Good.”
Building Momentum on the Road
Wisham's latest release comes during a busy touring schedule that has already seen him perform at major venues and festivals across North America.
Fresh off his Stagecoach debut, the young singer is currently supporting multi-platinum country stars Nate Smith and Josh Ross on select dates. He will also make several appearances during CMA Fest in Nashville, including performances at Whiskey Jam, SiriusXM's Highway Happy Hour, Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk, and Gibson Garage.
Later this summer, Wisham is set to share stages with established country names including Rodney Atkins and Dylan Scott as his profile continues to rise within the genre.
