Atlanta’s own J.I.D just dropped the official music video for “Sk8,” one of the standout tracks from his acclaimed album God Does Like Ugly — and it’s a full-on love letter to the city’s legendary skate culture.
Shot across iconic Atlanta rinks like Golden Glide and Cascade, the video captures the spirit, rhythm, and nostalgia of the city’s skate scene that helped shape so much of its musical identity. Directed by Maya Table, “Sk8” rolls with pure energy — the camera glides through the rinks like skates on a polished floor, making you feel every beat, bounce, and spin.
J.I.D doesn’t ride solo, either. The video stars Ciara and his Dreamville family EarthGang, who both appear on the track, and features cameos from a stacked lineup of Atlanta legends and culture-shapers including Kilo Ali, Jermaine Dupri, Bijan Robinson, Baby Kia, BunnaB, Jace, Key!, Swavay, Ben Reilly, Jasper, KP the Great, Queen Flip, and NuFace. It’s a vibrant celebration of community — and proof that Atlanta’s creative heartbeat still pulses hardest when its people come together.
“Sk8” arrives just as J.I.D gears up for his God Does Like World Tour, which will see him headline some of the biggest stages of his career.
