Fresh off the sold-out finale of Playboi Carti’s Antagonist tour, Platinum recording artist Ken Carson is back with a new release that fans have been waiting for. His latest single, “the acronym,” features Opium labelmate and longtime collaborator Destroy Lonely, reuniting one of rap’s most influential duos. Produced by Akachi, Sonickaboom, and DJ Moon, the track delivers the dark, high-energy sound that has come to define the Opium movement.

Ken first teased the record last month with a cryptic acrostic spelling out “Opium,” a nod to the collective that has dominated rap culture throughout 2025. The full release of “the acronym” brings that tease to life, offering a sharp, focused collaboration that reinforces both artists’ creative chemistry and shared vision.

A Landmark Year for Ken Carson

“The acronym” arrives on the heels of a career-defining run for Ken Carson. His album More Chaos debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking his first chart-topping project. The album earned a spot on Complex’s 50 Best Albums of 2025 and ranks among the most-streamed rap albums on Spotify this year.

Beyond the charts, Ken’s influence has expanded rapidly. He was named to Variety’s Young Hollywood Impact Report, delivered headline performances at Rubicon and ComplexCon, and collaborated with Jesse Jo Stark’s Deadly Doll line and Affliction. His presence has also extended into high-profile fashion campaigns, including Y/Project x Heavn by Marc Jacobs and SKIMS x Cactus Plant Flea Market.

Singles That Cemented the Era

Throughout the year, Ken released a string of standout singles that continued to elevate his profile. Tracks like “yes,” “catastrophe,” and “margiela” showcased different dimensions of his sound. “margiela” has already pulled in nearly 3 million streams on Spotify, while the Gunner Stahl–directed video for “catastrophe” has approached 2 million views.

“yes” proved to be a breakout moment, earning widespread critical praise.

Billboard described the track as “a sonic exorcism — chaotic, emotionally unhinged, and fully locked into Carson’s dark creative universe,” while BET called it the perfect entry point into his catalog. The song also reached nearly 1 million first-day streams on Spotify, making it his second track to hit that milestone alongside the Platinum-certified “overseas.”

From A Great Chaos to More Chaos

More Chaos follows Ken’s Platinum-selling breakthrough album A Great Chaos (AGC), which delivered his first top 10 debut on the Billboard 200 and amassed more than 21 million streams on release day. The album received acclaim from outlets including The New York Times, Pitchfork, Billboard, Rolling Stone, and Complex, and landed on numerous “Best of 2023” lists.

That momentum carried into the “Chaos World Tour,” where Ken sold out venues across North America and Europe, including Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, Terminal 5 in New York City, Roadrunner in Boston, and Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta.

The “WTF” Headline Tour Takes Over 2026

To kick off 2026, Ken Carson is taking his high-energy live show worldwide with the highly anticipated “WTF” headline tour. Before the tour officially launches, fans can catch him at Lollapalooza India on January 24. The global run begins in March with a headline performance at Rolling Loud Australia in Sydney and spans Australia, Europe, and the UK before wrapping in Amsterdam on November 19.
