Lewis Capaldi is back — and he’s coming with one of his most personal songs yet. The global superstar has officially released his new single “Almost,” a gut-punching post-breakup anthem that perfectly captures the raw emotions of trying to move on. The track arrives ahead of his upcoming Survive EP, out November 14 via Capitol Records.
Fans can listen to “Almost” now and watch a stunning live performance of the song. Pre-saves for the Survive EP are also open.
A Powerful New Single: “Almost”
“Almost” made its first appearance earlier this year during Capaldi’s massive 200,000-ticket UK arena tour, quickly becoming a fan favorite. With its intimate acoustic guitar intro and soaring instrumentation, the track finds Capaldi laying his heart bare:
“I swear to God I’m almost alright, I only think about you all the time.”
The song blends honesty, hope, and heartbreak, reminding listeners why Capaldi remains one of pop’s most emotionally resonant storytellers.
The Survive EP: A New Era
The Survive EP will feature four tracks:
Survive
Something In The Heavens
Almost
The Day That I Die
Each song represents a chapter in Capaldi’s journey — from personal lows to a triumphant return to the stage. “The Day That I Die,” in particular, has been bringing fans to tears during his live sets, while “Something In The Heavens” recently became his 10th UK Top 10 single.
“Survive,” the title track, marked Capaldi’s courageous comeback earlier this year. First performed during a deeply emotional moment at Glastonbury Festival 2023, the song became the UK’s fastest-selling single of the year and earned him his sixth No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart.
A Triumphant Return to Glastonbury and Beyond
Capaldi’s emotional surprise set at Glastonbury this year was met with critical praise.
Rolling Stone called it “one of the most emotional Glastonbury moments of the weekend.”
Billboard hailed it as “a momentous occasion.”
His comeback has also included standout TV appearances on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and The Graham Norton Show alongside Taylor Swift.

A Resilient Comeback
This moment marks more than just a new release — it’s a celebration of resilience. Earlier this year, Capaldi quietly returned to the stage with intimate shows in partnership with Campaign Against Living Miserably during Mental Health Awareness Week, giving himself the space to rebuild on his own terms.
Now, with his heart on full display, Lewis Capaldi is not just surviving — he’s thriving.
