Last night, Offset took things to a whole new level on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Joined by Drowning Pool, J.I.D, and producer BNYX®, the Atlanta superstar delivered a genre-bending, generation-crossing performance of his hit “Bodies.” Instead of relying on a sample from Drowning Pool’s 2001 nü-metal classic, Offset had the actual band on stage, making for an instantly legendary TV moment.
“Bodies” — The Single That Won’t Quit
Since its release, “Bodies” has been making serious noise:
Debuted on the Billboard Hot 100
Became the #1 added track at Urban Radio
Earned praise from major outlets including The Source (“a bold summer return”), Vibe (“earth-shattering lyrical clinic”), BET (“smash single”), and Complex (who ranked J.I.D.’s verse one of the year’s best).
Offset and J.I.D have broken down the single with Variety, Genius, and AP News, while the cinematic video — creative-directed by Offset himself — added even more heat to the track.
The Deluxe Album: KIARI: OFFSET
The Fallon performance comes on the heels of the deluxe release of Offset’s third solo album KIARI — named after his birth name. The expanded edition includes new songs, like a CeeLo Green collab, adding to an already stacked lineup featuring Gunna, John Legend, Ty Dolla $ign, Key Glock, YFN Lucci, Teezo Touchdown, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
Critics are calling KIARI Offset’s most personal project yet:
Rolling Stone gave it 4 stars, noting how it highlights his growth while keeping his signature bravado.
VIBE wrote: “It is every side of the Atlanta rapper fans have loved for the last decade — fortified as ever.”
