Internationally acclaimed producer, songwriter, and DJ SG Lewis has just released his third studio album, Anemoia, via his label Forever Days in collaboration with Astralwerks. Alongside the album comes its shimmering lead single “Baby Blue” — a disco-inspired track featuring Oliver Sim of The xx that perfectly captures the balance between nostalgia and club-ready energy.

The Story Behind “Baby Blue”

SG Lewis reveals that the song is rooted in an old disco record from 1978. “Once I had worked on the instrumental track with my friend Karma Kid, I sent it to Oliver who voice-noted me his chorus from the bathroom at a bar he was in,” he laughs. “I immediately loved what he did, so he came over to record the vocal a week later.”

What Anemoia Means

The album’s title refers to the word “anemoia” — the feeling of nostalgia for a time you never personally experienced. This theme threads through the project as Lewis explores his long-standing fascination with past eras of dance music.

Expect a sonic journey blending early trance, Balearic house, and 2000s electronica, all wrapped in his signature pop-friendly style. The result is a project that’s both expansive and intimate, rooted in the dancefloor yet reflective of SG Lewis’ evolution as a songwriter and producer.

“The album is rooted in the dancefloor,” Lewis explains. “Even its quieter moments are shaped by Balearic sounds influenced by spending a lot of time in Ibiza last summer. More than anything, I want Anemoia to be a soundtrack to living in the present, to creating the kind of moments that others might one day feel nostalgic for.”

Star-Studded Collaborations

Anemoia brings together an impressive lineup of collaborators, including:

  • London Grammar

  • Oliver Sim (The xx)

  • Shygirl

  • RAHH

  • Production contributions from TEED and Karma Kid

A Big Year for SG Lewis

This album follows an incredible 18 months for SG Lewis, filled with high-profile collaborations with Tove Lo, Nelly Furtado, and Shygirl. He also launched his own label, Forever Days, which has already seen curated headline shows at iconic venues like KOKO (London), Knockdown Center (NYC), and Cova Santa (Ibiza).

Last month, he teamed up with Mixmag for a special Forever Days livestream and rooftop party in London. On top of that, Spotify recently named him the face of their Mint Campaign, complete with a Times Square billboard.

With over 2 billion streams and a track record of working with legends like Elton John and Dua Lipa, SG Lewis is cementing his place as one of electronic music’s most forward-thinking artists.
