Directed by Alfred Marroquin, the visual draws inspiration from the beloved 1995 film Waiting to Exhale. Ella begins the video immersed in domestic routines before the story gradually reveals the emotional strain within her relationship.
The visual builds toward a powerful moment of release, using the film’s themes of resilience, friendship, and reclaiming personal power as a foundation for a contemporary story.
Taylor Rooks, Coco Jones, and Ryan Destiny appear throughout the video, helping bring its message of empowerment and female solidarity to life for a new generation.
“Might Just” appears on Ella Mai’s third studio album, Do You Still Love Me? The release continues a major year for the Grammy-winning singer, who recently performed across South Africa, Asia, and Australia and earned two BET Award nominations.
