Rising singer-songwriter Hannah McFarland is back with a new single that hits right where it hurts. Her latest release, “Missin’ Me,” is a slow-burning breakup ballad that perfectly captures the emotional chaos of watching an ex move on while you’re still stuck in your feelings.
Built around McFarland’s warm, soulful vocals, the track dives deep into that uncomfortable space after a breakup — the late-night questions, the lingering memories, and the wondering if your ex ever thinks about you the way you still think about them. It’s raw, honest, and painfully relatable.
The Alabama-born artist describes the song as a moment of personal growth and emotional release.
“‘Missin’ Me’ has been such a fun song to spend time on,” McFarland shares. “It’s let me show a side of my personality and creativity that my other releases haven’t revealed yet. This is exactly the kind of song I scream along to in my car with the windows down. It’s me in my healing era.”
Produced by Will Weatherly (known for his work with Alana Springsteen and Billy Currington), the song blends delicate piano, slow-rolling percussion, and moody guitar textures. The production leaves plenty of space for McFarland’s storytelling to shine — especially during the chorus, where she runs through the haunting questions that tend to loop in your head after a breakup:
When you’re laying in the dark, holding her in your arms… do you close your eyes and picture me?When you’re kissing her… are you missin’ me?
“Missin’ Me” continues the emotional songwriting McFarland introduced on her 2025 debut EP Broken Hearts, which received praise from outlets like NPR’s All Songs Considered. Since then, she’s been steadily building momentum in the country scene.
The past year has been a big one for the rising star. She’s collaborated with Chase Rice on the laid-back duet “Foolin’,” appeared alongside Riley Green on “I Just Need You,” and joined Brett Young for “In Case You Didn’t Know 2.0.” She also spent much of 2025 touring with Riley Green and even made her debut at the legendary Grand Ole Opry last October.
Now McFarland’s live presence is expanding even further. In the coming months, fans can catch her performing at major festivals including:
Stagecoach – April 24
Lone Star Smokeout – April 26
Gulf Coast Jam – May 30
She’ll also be hitting the road again with Riley Green this May, continuing to build her reputation as one of country music’s most exciting emerging voices.
With “Missin’ Me,” Hannah McFarland proves she’s not afraid to sit with heartbreak — and turn it into something beautifully relatable.
