Masego Returns With New Album Fix Your Face

Masego is back with Fix Your Face, his highly anticipated third full-length album, out now via Capitol Records. The GRAMMY-nominated artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist steps into a new creative era shaped by introspection, growth, and emotional honesty.

A More Personal Masego

Long known for his magnetic presence and genre-fluid sound, Masego turns inward on Fix Your Face. Working alongside co-producer Jordan Elgie, he crafted a 16-track project that the press release describes as his most cohesive album yet, blending vulnerability, faith, spirituality, and the musicianship that has defined his artistry.

The album features Buju Banton, Keyshia Cole, Leon Thomas, Musiq Soulchild, Foggieraw, Lekan, and more. Its title comes from a phrase Masego says mothers often use when telling children to tighten up and stop the tears, but for him, Fix Your Face has become a larger philosophy for moving through life no matter what comes his way.

Faith, Heritage, and Transformation

Nearly three years in the making, Fix Your Face was born from a period of personal transformation. According to the release, Masego wrote over 150 songs following personal upheaval and immersed himself in a deep study of artists known for vulnerability and authenticity, including Labi Siffre, Mary J. Blige, D’Angelo, and PartyNextDoor.

The album also draws from Masego’s Jamaican heritage. On “Hello,” Buju Banton’s appearance connects tradition, Southern influence, and Caribbean sound, reframing Atlanta nostalgia through a diasporic lens. The result is an album that reflects both where Masego comes from and where he is headed.

Focus Track “Heaven” Honors His Roots

The focus track “Heaven” leans into a softer, more angelic sound, using layered vocals that recall the warmth of a gospel choir. Inspired by Masego’s upbringing as a pastor’s kid in Virginia, the song pulls from gospel influences including Kirk Franklin, The Clark Sisters, Kim Burrell, and John P. Kee.

Fix Your Face represents Masego’s new approach to life, no matter what comes at him.

The 40+ Date Fix Your Face Tour

Masego will bring the album to the stage on his biggest headline tour to date, a 40-plus date Fix Your Face run beginning August 4 in Dallas. The tour includes major stops at The Anthem in Washington, DC, Radio City Music Hall in New York City, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and The O2 in London.

Before the tour, fans got a preview of the new era during a sold-out intimate showcase at Blue Note Jazz Club in Los Angeles. The broader run will carry the album’s emotional depth, honesty, and live musicianship across North America, Europe, and the UK.

A Global Music Architect

Born Micah Davis, Masego is a Jamaican-American artist whose work blends fresh jazz innovation, Black musical lineage, and modern groove. His breakout collaboration “Tadow” with FKJ earned Platinum certification in the U.S., Diamond certification in Brazil, and Gold certification in Mexico, while Studying Abroad: Extended Stay earned him his first GRAMMY nomination.

With Fix Your Face, Masego continues expanding his creative world, using vulnerability, faith, heritage, and live musicianship to shape one of his most personal statements yet.
